Sharon Rose offers free downloadable EP

|PIC1|Rising star and practising Christian Sharon Rose is offering Christian music lovers four tracks to celebrate the launch of her new website, www.sharonrosemusic.com

The EP ‘Wildcard’ features two previously unreleased songs, 'Superman' and 'Better'; and live versions of tracks ‘My Fire’ and ‘Testify’ that featured on her independent 2007 album Self Titled.

The Zimbabwe-born pop/funk/R&B artist hopes the new EP will give a taste of her musical style.

She says: "I want people to get a taste of who Sharon Rose is and what I have to offer.

"I want them to listen and know that it's something they've never heard before but that it's daring, catchy and helps them feel like they can touch the sky."

Often compared to the likes of Beyonce and Jill Scott, she takes listeners on an emotional rollercoaster through her songs that explore faith, love, empowerment, social justice and topical issues.

"I don't just want to make feel-good music that has no substance," she explains. "I want people to be inspired, encouraged and empowered by my songs."

Sharon Rose recently won the MSN Unsigned podcast competition and is currently in the studio recording her new album and getting ready to release her single L.O.V.E, a super fun and universally appealing pop offering, on July 6.

The free download EP will be available from June 8 at www.sharonrosemusic.com
