"Shazam" is charging up the hype, not only in Hollywood, but also in its source material territory, as a new comic series about the wizard superhero is underway.

Geoff Johns, DC Entertainment President and Chief Creative Officer and esteemed comic book writer, took to Twitter to possibly tease fans about another iteration or story arc of "Shazam." The tweet was also a response to an earlier tweet by Gary Frank. The two are best known for collaborating on the "New 52" version of Shazam. Frank has also expressed that this iteration of Shazam back in 2011 was one of the works which he enjoyed the most until the upcoming arc, "Doomsday Clock."

In Johns' tweet above, fans saw him pleading for another story, possibly as a build-up or as a tie-in to the upcoming "Shazam" movie, starring Zachary Levi as the superhero. Needless to say, the fans of Shazam were excited at the prospect and even commented their own favorite story arcs or the ones in their wishlists for the superhero such as Shazam vs Darkseid, as well as a DC Rebirth version of Shazam. Coincidentally, the artist for the last and latest appearance of Shazam in comic books, Evan "Doc" Shaner, has posted his latest sketches of Black Adam and Dr. Sivana, two of Shazam's greatest enemies. This led to a lot of speculations that DC could indeed be working on a new "Shazam" project before the official film adaptation gets released, perhaps to familiarize fans to the superhero. It could also mean that Shaner could be one of the artists for the rumored project.

At the moment, though, nothing has been confirmed yet, and fans are advised not to expect anything from Johns and company lest they get disappointed.

In the meantime, the film adaptation of "Shazam" is going along smoothly, and its production is set to begin on February next year in Toronto, Ontario, with Dr. Sivana as the central villain of the movie.

"Shazam" is set to be released on Apr. 5, 2019.
