Apparently, "Shazam" might have appeared in the recent DC movie "Justice League," according to some fan and critic speculations.

Fans looking forward to a Justice League crossover might have to hold their breaths though, as it was not precisely Shazam per se, just his child alter ego, Billy Batson (Asher Angel). Website Comic Book has suggested that Batson might've gotten a cameo in Zack Snyder's "Justice League" in the form of a podcast interview with of a kid with Superman (Henry Cavill).

The kid was not exactly seen as the interview was shown in his perspective using a phone. Nonetheless, this left a lot of fans wondering whether it could've been Batson, or at most, an easter egg for the upcoming "Shazam" movie. Batson, in the comic books, has also been established as an industrious child, working as a radio commentator/reporter. Fans know that this was how the earliest iterations of the "Shazam" comic books were told, through Batson's reportage.

Still, the film adaptation of "Shazam" is in its early production stages, while "Justice League's" ended a while back, even before the cast of "Shazam" was even announced, meaning the rumored cameo may simply be a coincidence. The possibility of a Shazam and Superman tie-in, however, is not that remote, as the two have shared screen time in a movie before in an animated one titled "Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam," where the Kryptonian helped Batson fight off Black Adam, Shazam's mortal enemy.

This could also mean that Cavill might reprise his role as Superman, should he appear in "Shazam." But, at this point, nothing has been confirmed, and neither have the producers or staff of "Justice League" spoken up about the rumors.

It is worth noting, however, that recently, Zachary Levi, the actor chosen for Shazam, and Batson's Angel, have joined the premiere of "Justice League."
