It has been more than a year since the modern adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's bestselling detective series was seen on TV, which is why fans of BBC One's "Sherlock" series are eagerly waiting for any information about their favorite crime drama. 

The show will not return as a full season until 2016, but fans will catch detective Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Doctor John Watson (Martin Freeman) in a "Sherlock" Christmas special sometime in December.

But before that, series co-creator and one of the executive producers Mark Gatiss will appear in a Sherlock Holmes-themed concert called "A Musical Mind" on Aug. 16. This time, Gatiss will be the actor, and he will be joined by violinist Jack Liebeck, mezzo-soprano singer Christine Rice, presenter Matthew Sweet, conductor Barry Wordsworth, Stile Antico, and the BBC Concert Orchestra. Gatiss is expected to read excerpts from the books about Sherlock Holmes. 

The concert brought by BBC's Proms 2015 is inspired by the life of the famous detective based on the fan-favorite TV series. It will be held at the Royal Albert Hall. 

Meanwhile, Gatiss' co-creator Steven Moffat talked about the plans for "Sherlock" season 4 in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, hinting at the answers to some of the mind-boggling questions about the detective which no one dared to ask. 

"There's a lot of humor in Sherlock Holmes, and it's ignored in a lot of adaptations. [Season 4] is going to be ... I suppose you'd say ... consequences. It's consequences," Moffat shared. 

He also said that fans should expect to want more of the story after they watch the fourth season.

"We're certainly going to put them through the mill. It's going to be more of an emotional upheaval. Hopefully enjoyable and fun, all the things Sherlock must always be. It will be tough at times. Maybe that's the word? A tougher series," he said.
