Benedict Cumberbatch and the rest of the cast will be back on set for "Sherlock" season 4 in the spring. But even though production is just around the corner, there are virtually little to no details as to what the new season of the series will be all about.

Thankfully though, Rupert Graves has spilled the beans on what his character, Lestrade, could be up to in the new season. And as expected, it has something to do with Molly and where their relationship is headed.

"I think definitely Lestrade has got the hots for Molly. So maybe they'll develop that. We don't know what happens until we see the scripts, and that could literally be a couple of weeks before you film," Graves told Collider.

It looks like "Sherlock" season 4 will see romance bloom.

As for Lestrade's dynamic with Sherlock, this is expected to change since it was revealed that Sherlock is not dead. Months back, Graves told Collider that Lestrade knowing that the detective is alive and well "will deepen their love."

Last month, the "Sherlock" season 4 Christmas special titled "Sherlock: The Abominable Bride" was aired and watched by 11.6 million viewers in the UK alone, according to Carter Matt. The publication adds that the Victorian era episode was also majorly supported in America and China.

"After a two year wait, it's incredible to see the indisputable power of Sherlock bringing the nation together to make it the biggest show of the festive season. It's a tribute to the talented team behind this much loved show," BBC One Controller Charlotte Moore said in a statement.

With the phenomenal support from fans, it is expected that "Sherlock" season 4 will be welcomed massively when it premieres. The Christmas special seems to have rekindled and strengthened the love of fans for the remake of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's story.

A premiere date for "Sherlock" season 4 has not been announced.
