More details about the villainous role of Toby Jones in "Sherlock" season 4 have emerged, and as it turns out, he is out for blood, but only that of Sherlock's (Benedict Cumberbatch).

According to Deccan Chronicle, Jones will play the role of Culverton Smith, the antagonist in "The Adventure of the Dying Detective" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

In this story, Sherlock feigned illness due to an infectious disease that Smith claims he is an expert on. He offered to help with the intention of worsening it instead. Sherlock, in the end, outwit him.

There's no confirmation of this yet as details about Jones' role in "Sherlock" season 4 are kept a minimum. Nevertheless, fans continue to dig up information for themselves.

Jones will appear in the second episode of "Sherlock" season 4. This installment will be directed by Nick Hurran, who earned a nomination Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries for his work in the show's season 3 episode "His Last Vow."

The casting of Jones was announced last month. In a press release, "The Secret Agent" actor said that he is "excited and intrigued" by the character he will portray in "Sherlock" season 4.

Meanwhile, production appears to be back in Cardiff (the primary location for the "Sherlock" production) now after the cast and crew filmed in Morocco.

Cumberbatch was spotted by Wales Online on set around four in the morning. The way the area was designed, whatever that was being filmed was set in Christmas season.

Cumberbatch was joined by a woman in a red dress in some scenes. "Sherlock" executive producer and director Mark Gatiss was also spotted.

It remains to be seen why "Sherlock" season 4 had to film in the location, but it is speculated it may be part of a dream sequence by Sherlock or something that involves Jones' character's villainous schemes.

"Sherlock" season 4 is expected to premiere early next year but it might be here as early as December.
