Fresh off Atlus announcing their new game, "Shin Megami Tensei 4 Final," more details that look to have been leaked are already trickling out as well.

Details about the storyline and some of the characters that are expected to appear in the game have been leaked by Famitsu and reported by Gematsu, although these, of course, are unofficial for now.

According to the leaks, the story of "Shin Megami Tensei 4 Final" will take place inside the chaotic city of Tokyo after it has been ravaged over the years by rampant destruction. The new city is also overrun by crime and by the angels and demons that are now in complete control of the humans.

As for the characters that fans can expect to be featured in the game, there will be the unnamed protagonist who will possess the ability to summon demons leading the pack. Then there is the mysterious demon who is the one who grants the unnamed protagonist with the ability to call forth those powerful beings. Also in the game is Asahi, a childhood friend of the game's unnamed protagonist and last of the currently known crew is Navarre, a character who already appeared in "Shin Megami Tensei 4."

Fans looking for more official details about "Shin Megami Tensei 4 Final" can wait for news set to come directly from Atlus. The company will be holding a livestream event dedicated to "Shin Megami Tensei 4 Final" on Oct. 11, according to Polygon. It's unclear what details Atlus will be revealing about the game during the livestream event so fans will have to stay tuned until then.

"Shin Megami Tensei 4 Final" is expected to feature numerous elements fans are already familiar with from the most recent game from the franchise, although experience with the older title is not going to be a necessity for the upcoming release.
