Sight & Sound's 'Jesus' stage show will be shown May 13 on TBN after record breaking Easter
Sight & Sound Theatres production of' "Jesus" will be free to view online once again after almost 3 million people watched the show over the Easter weekend.
TBN has announced that the "Jesus" stage show will be shown live on air, and on the TBN website and app on May 13, 2020. The show will then be released on DVD and for digital download on May 15, 2020.
The live performance of the "Jesus" stage show has been seen by more than a million people at Sight & Sound's Lancaster, Pennsylvania theatre, and has received rave reviews for its portrayal of the life and teachings of Jesus, as well as the stunning special effects used.
The show originally premiered at the theatre in 2018 and had an initial two-year run.
Sight & Sound Theatres announced the special one-off free viewing of the "Jesus" stage production via their Facebook page on Friday.
The announcement stated: "Over 3 million people tuned in Easter weekend to watch the worldwide debut of JESUS! We are thrilled to announce that TBN will present a special one-time only encore broadcast of JESUS on Wednesday, May 13th at 9pm ET | 6pm PT. Watch exclusively on the TBN channel, or watch live online through the TBN website or app."
Sight & Sound Theatres has been providing Christian entertainment for more than 40 years, and more than 22 million have watched their shows across their two theatres; the Lancaster Pennsylvania theatre, and another in Branson, Missouri.
In the past they have produced numerous biblical epic shows, and a number of them have already been converted from stage to screen, including "Jonah" in 2017, "Moses" in 2018, and most recently "Noah" in 2019.
The "Jesus" show will air live on the TBN network on Wednesday 13 May 2020 at 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. PT). The show will also be available to watch live via the TBN website and app.
"Jesus" will also be released for DVD purchase and digital download on 15 May 2020, and can be purchased from Sight-Sound.com, as well as from Amazon and AppleTV.
