‘Skypinars’ for Christian fundraisers

McConkey Johnston International UK will be hosting seminars via Skype next month to help Christians polish their fundraising skills.

The Skypinars have been designed for use by professional fundraising and communications teams, as well as those who may have less experience such as church and small charity leaders, and volunteers involved in fundraising.

They give workers tips on how to fundraise in a world where the income of potential donors is shrinking and expectations about communication from the charities they support are rapidly changing.

Other seminars will look at how charities can launch a successful regular giving programme and motivate people to give and get involved through effective newsletters and e-updates.

The seminars last 90 minutes and are limited to 24 paying participants, who can then host the link-up in their offices or churches so that more people can join in.

Redina Kolaneci, Senior Fundraising & Stewardship Consultant, said: “Whether you are a novice, in search of ideas on how to succeed in a crowded market, or a fundraising veteran, seeking to pull your charity's plans out of the proverbial rut, you will find an abundance of fundraising insight and wisdom.”
