Major changes are about to happen when "Sleepy Hollow" returns to FOX for season 4.

TVLine broke the news that actor Lance Gross will no longer reprise his role as FBI Agent Daniel Reynolds in the upcoming season. Meanwhile, fellow FBI Agent Sophie Foster, portrayed by Jessica Camacho, has been demoted to a guest-starring role in season 3.

The report stated that the actors' decision to depart from the show may have something to do with the show's decision to move its location from New York's Sleepy Hollow to Washington, D.C. According to spoilers, Tom Mison's character Ichabod Crane will start working together with a new rag-tag team in D.C.

Gross and Camacho joined the list of cast members who chose to depart from the show after season 3, including lead female star Nicole Beharie, Zach Appelman, Nikki Reed and Shannyn Sossamon.

A separate report from the same publication revealed that Crane's new partner after Beharie's character Abie Mills' death will be the new character named Anna. Based on the character description, the new character will have conflicts with Crane because of her skepticism about anything supernatural.

"She's got a tough, take-charge personality, punctuated by a wry sense of humor," the description reads. "She's a born leader, but she also has a softer, more caring side which she rarely shows." The character is also said to be very doting to her 11-year-old daughter named Stella.

Other new characters include a research analyst named Seth, a new male villain, and a MacGyver-type female named Rosa.

The series returns for season 4 sometime this fall.
