'Sleepy Hollow' season 4 spoilers, premiere date: Ichabod's new team teased

Fox

The end of "Sleepy Hollow" season 3 saw the death of Ichabod Crane's (Tom Mison) partner, Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) and Ichabod now moving to Washington D.C. A report from TV Line now reveals that he will be getting a new partner named Anna and that his whole team will be composed of new faces.

According to the report, Anna is a single mother of an 11-year old girl named Stella and is a former military officer. The two are reportedly set to meet in the "Basement" of the Washington DC Secret Service office and almost immediaetly there will be tension as Anna is said to be a non-believer of the supernatural.

Despite this, she is stated to be a natural leader and has a dry sense of humor that will work well with the "quirky" humor that Ichabod displays. However, Abbie is not the only character leaving the show as the change in location will also see the departure of FBI agents Daniel Reynolds (Lance Gross) and Sophie Foster (Jessica Camacho).

With Ichabod heading to Washington DC, he will be gaining new allies. A separate report reveals he will be gaining two new co-workers. One is described as an "eager research analyst" named Seth and the other is a female named Rosa who is stated to have McGyver-like skills.

Casting for Anna, Stella, Seth and Rosa are still underway and the studios have yet to reveal if there are any potential actors already auditioning for the role or if they have some names in mind that they want to cast.

However, the new location, new partner and new team all point to a new direction for "Sleepy Hollow" as it steps into its fourth season.

"Sleepy Hollow" season 4 is scheduled to premiere in early 2017.
