Snapdragon 830 release date, specs news: new chip expected early 2017

It looks like techies won't have to wait very long for an upgrade to the Snapdragon 830.

According to a report by Game N Guide, rumor has it that the Snapdragon 830 upgrade will see release during the early parts of 2017, allowing tech lovers to finally find a solution to the overheating and charging issues of phones using Qualcomm's semiconductor chips. The upgrade has been rumored to speed up the charging power of a handset to 28 W for what techies call the Quick Charge 4.0. The upgrade is said to be produced by an accessory manufacturer that would like to remain anonymous.

Smartphone users all know that fast charging is especially important in the daily use of their gadgets, and in a fast-paced modern world speedy charging is a must.

Meanwhile, according to Ray Arena, the chipset is expected to have more power when compared to the current generation of Snapdragon chips being offered by Qualcomm like the Snapdragon 820 and the Snapdragon 821. The upgraded Snapdragon 830 chip will take in configurations of 5V/4.7 A-5.6 A and configurations of 9V/4A. The chip is also said to make use of Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage technology, or Inov, a feature that ensures that the Snapdragon 830 upgrade would help batteries charge more efficiently.

Back in January this year, the Le Max Pro was the first device to use Qualcomm's current generation chip, the Snapdragon 820. Apparently, Qualcomm had to release the chip earlier because of problems with the overheating Snapdragon 810 chips. Given the release date of the Snap Dragon 820, speculation has started to spread that the Snapdragon 830 could be found sometime in January next year as well.

However, with the Snapdragon 820 chip's good performance, it seems like alternative speculations also predict that the Snapdragon 830 upgrade could very well come out during the later months of 2017.
