"Sons of Anarchy" season 7 will finally premiere tonight on FX.

The hit show will return Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 10 p.m. PT with a one-hour 45-minute premiere episode entitled "Black Widower." The synopsis is as follows: "In the wake of Tara's death, Jax makes vengeance a club priority."

The season will pick up after season 6 left off, where Jax's wife Tara was murdered by his mother Gemma. Jax will be getting out of prison but he will be determined to take revenge for Tara's death.

"It's impossible for Gemma frankly now," series director Paris Barclay told Buddy TV. "I don't think there's any coming back from before. Even if she did it with the best of intentions, it's still beyond the pale. You know when Jax finds this out, it's not going to be pretty. And eventually I'm sure she has a plan to beg forgiveness and it may or may not work."

Barclay continued, "There's a lot of events in the premiere, and some of them are very early in the premiere, of what's going to happen later on. Scenes which seem to be just informational about people, actually you'll find by the middle of the season, end up being much more important than you thought they were."

The premiere episode will be set 10 days after Tara's brutal murder.

Series creator Kurt Sutter hinted that the final season of "Sons of Anarchy" will see the death of many people.

Many celebrity guests are rumored for the final season, including Courtney Love, Marilyn Manson, and Lea Michele. Other recurring members joining SOA are Drea de Matteo, Emilio Rivera, Billy Brown, Walter Goggins and more.
