Starting this February 2018, the Sony XPERIA XA2 and XA2 Ultra, two of the tech giant's latest smartphones, will already be available in select stores worldwide.

Along with the XA2 and XA2 Ultra, Sony also offers the XPERIA L2, a cheaper alternative, in several European countries. These three smartphones complete Sony's CES trio this year, which was officially presented at the CES 2018 event in Las Vegas.

The company is now accepting orders and pre-orders through some online stores such as Boulanger in France as well as Saturn and MediaMarkt in Germany.

For the XA2 and XA2 Ultra, prices range from €350 to €450. However, for the XPERIA L2, prices range only from €230 to €250.

"As screen sizes get bigger and bigger, providing a superior picture quality becomes even more important to your satisfaction," Kazuo Hirai, president and CEO of Sony, said during Sony's CES 2018 event.

XA2 has a 5.2-inch LCD display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel screen resolution. For the operating system, the phone makes use of the Android 8.0 Oreo.

With an internal of 32 GB and 3 GB random access memory (RAM), you would have enough space to save high quality photos from the phone's camera.

The extreme light sensitive primary camera located at the back has 23 megapixels while the front camera has 8 megapixels.

"Having the technology inside the television is the secret ingredient in delivering the quality imagery that you will desire," Hirai added.

In addition, one can now capture slow motion video clips up to 120 frames per second (fps) and adjust the ISO up to 12,800 in case of extremely dark setups, making it truly a powerful device for phone photography.

Finally, the phone is powered by a non-removable 3,300 mAh Lithium-ion battery.

The regular XPERIA XA2 phones will be available in four different colors, namely, pink, black, blue, and silver. On the other hand, the XA2 Ultra comes in a different set of colors, particularly, silver, gold, black and blue.
