Following the footsteps of the current Sony Xperia Z3, the Xperia Z4 is reported to come with a dual SIM variant that will share some of the specs and features of the flagship smartphone.

Xperia Blog grabbed some screenshots of the alleged Xperia Z4 dual SIM model from Chinese web source Digi-Wo. The four screenshots also revealed some of the specs of the upcoming Sony smartphone.

Based on the photos, the dual SIM version of the Sony Xperia Z4 runs with the latest Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS, the version that is seen on Nexus 7 tablets. The device's user interface shows the handset sporting the new Material Design. The processor info also revealed that the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 SoC, which is also purported as the chipset powering the flagship version.

The current Xperia Z3 dual SIM smartphone has the same specs and features as the original Z3 handset and it seems that the next generation of the line is following suit. It is expected to cater mostly to markets in Asia where dual SIM devices are quite popular because of its convenience compared to carrying around two phones.

The Sony Xperia Z4 smartphone is rumored to feature a 5-inch screen display with a quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 processor and Adreno 420 graphics co-processor paired with 4 GB of RAM. Other rumored features of the smartphone are: 24-megapixel back camera with dual LED flash; 12-megapixel front-facing camera; PlayStation Remote Play; IP68 certification for water and dust resistance; and longer battery life.

While most rumors claimed that the handset will be unveiled at the upcoming Mobile World Congress next week, some publications are pointing to a later date for the release of the Sony Xperia Z4 with summer as the earliest release date.
