United States who were victims of the 2011 Playstation Network Network hack can now claim compensation. Sony started reaching out to users who used a PSN, Qriocity or Sony Online Entertainment account, particularly the ones which were made before May 15, 2011.

Customers will need to fill up a form over at PSNSOESettlement.com.

To recall, the celebrated 2011 PSN hack left PS3 and PSP global users unable to play online for about 23 days. Also, personal details of close to 77 million accounts were stolen during this unfortunate incident. It took Sony up to a week before they could warn users.

Sony settled the claims last year, offering up to $15 million in compensation, mostly in the form of digital rewards or old games. Hence, users affected by the said hack can choose to either get three months of PlayStation Plus subscription or a free PS3/PSP game.

Among the games that are offered are the following:

• Infamous (PS3)
• LittleBigPlanet (PS3)
• Super Stardust HD (PS3)
• rain (PS3)
• Puppeteer (PS3)
• Invizimals: Lost Kingdom (PS3)
• God of War® HD (PS3)
• Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror (PSP)
• LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
• ModNation Racers (PSP)
• Patapon 3 (PSP)
• WipEout Pure (PSP)

In the case of some users who may have gotten a free game through Sony's "Welcome Back" promo back in 2011, they are eligible to download only one digital reward. For the rest, they can get up to two. An additional reward will be given to users who can show proof that they were truly unable to access Netflix or Hulu Plus during that 23 day outage.

Users who may have lost confidence after the attach can choose to cancel their subscription and cash out the balance of their PSN wallets. Also, users who can prove that their identities were stolen can claim up to $2,500 in damages.

The settlement is only available for users located in the U.S. They will be given up to August 31, 2015 to file their respective claims.
