Sony Corporation is reportedly planning to release a new smartphone, called the Xperia C5 Ultra, after a user manual of the phone was allegedly leaked online along with its specifications.

In addition, Phone Arena reports that an image of the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra was recently leaked in Sao Paulo, Brazil by the police department, confirming the phone's existence and its rumored bezel-less design. The report adds that the new phone is expected to cost about US$893 when it launches in Brazil.

Digital Trends reports that the new Xperia C5 Ultra could be related to Sony's recently released Xperia C4 selfie-centric smartphone. The Xperia C4 handset was unveiled back in May and began shipping last month.

Since the Xperia C5 Ultra is rumored to sport a powerful front-facing shooter, it's highly possible that it is the new successor to the Xperia C4. According to reports, the C5 Ultra was previously known as "Lavender," and is expected to sport a slightly bezel-less display screen.

In terms of the specifications, GSM Arena reports that the Xperia C5 Ultra is rumored to come with a 5.5-inch display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It is expected to have two sharp 13-mega pixel cameras with LED flashes on both sides, according to the report.

Inside, Pocket-Lint said the Xperia C5 Ultra might pack a MediaTek MT6752 64-bit octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, and up to 16GB expandable built-in memory capacity.

In comparison with its predecessor, the Xperia C4 has a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. The C4 also sports a 5.5-inch display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and packs 2GB RAM and an expandable 16GB internal memory as well.

As of this time, there's still no news in regards to the commercial release of the new phone.
