Sony Xperia Cosmos specs: images leaked

There has been mention of a mid-range phone that is set to come out to succeed the Sony Xperia C3. The device in mention is better known as the Sony Xperia Cosmos which should be something Selfie-lovers will love to have.

And while nothing has been divulged on when the Xperia Cosmos would officially be out, leaked photos have now appeared online. A tweet by @upleaks gives users a better idea of how the handset would look like although it remains to be seen if these photos are indeed official.

From the leaked photo, one can easily depict the large display and the front-facing camera which seems to carry an LED flash as well. Though front-facing cameras (5MP) don't usually have such a feature, do remember that Sony is marketing this as a Selfie phone hence potentially pointing towards better front-facing photo shots for people who love to picture themselves anywhere and anytime.

As far as other specs are concerned, there is also no official word on what the Sony Xperia Cosmos would have to offer. However, there were rumors that it could possibly be powered by a MediaTek processor and that it would run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Though that is about it, many speculate that it could offer slightly improved specs to its predecessor, the Sony Xperia C3. So if that would be the case, it could boast of a 5.5-inch to 6-inch display, possibly no smaller than 8GB of internal storage which should be expandable too, and a rear camera that could be better than the previous 8MP shooter.

For the battery, it may be better than the C3's Li-Ion 2500 mAh battery which was good for up to 1000 hours if left on standby.

Again, these are hunches on what the Sony Xperia Cosmos would carry but hopefully the official ones will be released by Sony soon.
