The new Sony Xperia Z4 concept image comes with a slew of incredible specs and features.

The forthcoming Sony Xperia Z4 was imagined by Ben Ling, who has designed numerous Sony devices, although the concept designer focused on what is inside the device rather than its appearance and form factor.

According to Concept Phones, the concept image includes a 5.5-inch screen display with Quad HD IPS panel and reinforced by Sony Live Colour LED technology and Gorilla Glass 3. The imagined smartphone comes with 20.7 MP rear shooter with 4K recording and 3.2 MP front-facing shooter.

Under the hood is a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 32 or 64 GB of storage, Android 5.0 Lollipop, and a 3300 mAh battery. Just like the previous Xperia handsets, the concept of the Xperia Z4 includes aluminum and waterproof features.  Moreoever, it can be used in gaming because aside from being PlayStation Certified, it also comes with PS4 Remote Play that allows hardcore gamers to continue their gameplay.

Japanese OEM manufacturer Sony is known for releasing an updated handset in its Xperia line every six months. With this in mind, speculations have surfaced that the company will announce the new Sony Xperia Z4 at the Mobile World Congress 2015 event scheduled on Mar. 2 to 5. The event was also the launch platform of the previous Sony Xperia Z2.

However, recent reports say that Sony has realized that it is unnecessary to release two smartphones every year. Android Origin cited "trusted sources" who stated that the company will let go of its strategy as it just saturates the market.  Instead, it is most likely that Sony will refresh its smartphone line annually just like its rivals Apple and Samsung. This will also build up the anticipation of the buyers.

However, Sony has yet to confirm the rumors about the fourth generation of Sony Xperia handset.
