After Japanese vendor Sony Corporation recently released its new Xperia Z3+ smartphone to the worldwide market, the company is now preparing to announce the new successor in Japan by September of this year, according to earlier speculations. The Xperia Z5 smartphone is rumored to be available alongside another variant called the Xperia Z5 Compact.

In addition, it was recently revealed that the new Sony Xperia Z5 smartphone has appeared in two new leaked images that show the words "Made for Bond" and "Spectre 007." This indicates the new phone might appear in this year's upcoming James Bond movie titled "Spectre," according to a recent report by Softpedia.

However, Softpedia added that the letter "Z" in the images has been blurred deliberately, suggesting that Sony might be planning to introduce a new handset instead, although nothing has been confirmed yet.

In terms of the specifications and features, the Sony Xperia Z5 is expected to sport a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution display screen with an unknown size. Earlier rumors said the new phone will run on the new Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system (OS).

Also, the Sony Xperia Z5 is speculated to come with a powerful 21-megapixel rear camera along with a fingerprint scanning technology. The camera will come with HDR and 4K video recording capabilities, according to GSM Arena.

Inside, it will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 4GB RAM. The new phone will be equipped with up to 32GB internal memory capacity, as reported by International Business Times.

Meanwhile, the new James Bond movie "Spectre" is scheduled to debut in the U.K. on Oct. 26 and to be released worldwide the following month. "Spectre" is being produced by British-based film company Eon Productions and directed by Sam Mendes.
