There will be another Sony Xperia Z5 device to be introduced next year, if the recent rumors about this product line turns out to be accurate.

Recent reports claim that Sony Mobile will be releasing a phablet that will be bigger than the recently announced Sony Xperia Z5 Premium. This device will allegedly be called the Xperia Z5 Ultra. Different news sites say that the smartphone from the Japanese technology and consumer goods giant will come out with a massive 6.44-inch display, which could make the already large 5.5-inch screen of the Xperia Z5 Premium appear rather small. If this is true, it will have the same screen size as the Sony Z Ultra that was released in 2013.

Based on rumors, the Sony Xperia Z5 Ultra will have the same 4K screen resolution as the other Xperia Z5 devices that were announced during the recently concluded IFA 2015 in Berlin. The reports also claim that the smartphone will be equipped with the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with 4 GB of RAM, the same 23-megapixel primary camera and a large 4000 mAh battery pack.

The rumors also state that the so-called Sony Xperia Z5 Ultra will be launched in March next year. Does it mean that the device will be released after the annual Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, which is scheduled on Feb. 22-25, 2016?

The news about the Sony Xperia Z5 Ultra came out after another speculated product called the Xperia Z5 Compact Premium was reported. The device is said to have the same 4.6-inch screen as the new Xperia Z5 Compact as well as almost the same specs but its resolution is upgraded to Full HD. Also, rumor has it that device will be released in Japan only.

At the moment, Sony Mobile remains mum about the validity of these reports.
