Sony had made the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium official. Although the Japan-based tech company already revealed their flagships' redoubtable specs, many aspects are still under wraps. These include the pricing for the handsets, and the question of whether or not they will be marketed outside Japan.

Sony said that the Z5 and Z5 Compact will be on sale in Japan by next month, while the Z5 Premium won't be out until November. Except for the Compact version, the Z5 devices will also make their way to Canada "later this fall." While there's no information on the pricing, Phone Arena surmises they will be at $700 and $800, respectively. 

Users in the U.S. who plan to snag one of Sony's new handsets won't be too happy to know that there are currently no details as to the devices' arrival in the region. CNET says that T-Mobile has no plans to offer the smartphones at the moment. Verizon, on the other hand, remains silent on the issue. 

The Xperia Z5 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display with 428 ppi pixel density, while Sony goes for 4.6 inches for the Compact version, rendering a nice 720p resolution with 323 ppi. The Xperia Z5 Premium has a 5.5-inch 4K display, making it the first ever smartphone to boast such resolution. 

All three devices are driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. To take care of the overheating issue, the devices feature dual heat pipes. The regular-sized model offers 3 GB RAM while the smaller version has 2 GB. The Premium version, with all its high-end makings, has 4 GB of RAM.

The Xperia Z5 variants all get 32 GB of storage space. Each of the smartphones also has a 23-megapixel camera on the back and a 5.1-megapixel shooter on the front. They all have Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on board.
