Soul Survivor celebrates a remarkable five years

The journey of Soul Survivor has been shared by many, many thousands of people. From all over the world they have come to experience at first hand what happens when a circus tent of passionate followers of Jesus spend five days worshipping, learning and giving God space to get to work on their lives.

Be My Everything: Best of Soul Survivor Live (2005-2009) celebrates five remarkable years in the life of one of Europe’s largest events for Christian young people. With songs written and performed by Tim Hughes, Hillsong United and Ben Cantelon, the album boasts some of the most dynamic worship moments of recent years, including songs like ‘How Great Is Our God’, ‘Happy Day’, ‘Love Came Down’ and ‘Everlasting God’.

Worship has always been more than a soundtrack for the events. As Mike Pilavachi says year in, year out, ‘worship is the chief end of man’. It is more than a distraction, a warm-up or a sideshow. It is the main event.

Little wonder then, that Soul Survivor has acted as midwife for a worship movement that has gone on to touch the Church worldwide. Matt Redman, Tim Hughes and now Ben Cantelon have all emerged from the Soul Survivor movement, sharing the same heart for songs that always strive to direct the worshippers’ focus towards God, keeping their own influence to a minimum.

Be My Everything: Best of Soul Survivor Live (2005-2009) tells some of the story of where Soul Survivor has travelled over recent years. Who knows where God will lead them in the next five?
