BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America, the publisher of the upcoming game, "Soulcalibur VI," developed by Project Soul, revealed the comebacks of the two characters from "Soulcalibur," Zasalamel and Ivy, for the upcoming sixth installment of the game.

BANDAI NAMCO revealed the two in two separate character-reveal trailers.

Zasalamel will be back in the upcoming game alongside his iconic Death Scythe, Kafziel. According to PC Gamer, Zasalamel is a selfish evil magician who first appeared in the third installment of the series. GameSpot reported that BANDAI NAMCO provided a brief overview of his story. Zasalamel was (for those who are not familiar with him) born in the Guardians of the Spirit Swords clan who was tasked to protect the legendary swords — Soul Calibur and Soul Edge. He discovered the secret of reincarnation after he was exiled from the clan for breaking their laws, making him a formidable adversary to face.

Isabella "Ivy" Valentine will also be back in "Soulcalibur VI" together with her signature Snake Sword, Ivy Blade. GameSpot revealed that Ivy will still be on the quest for revenge, aiming to destroy the evil sword Soul Edge. Moreover, GameSpot said that BANDAI NAMCO explained in a press release that Ivy's thirst for revenge stemmed from her parents' death after researching Soul Edge's history. She will be using her alchemy skills to create a weapon that will suit her needs — her Snake Sword. Her signature weapon has the ability to switch between a sturdy Western European sword and a barbed Eastern European whip.

The other characters that have been introduced prior to the two were "Soulcalibur" veteran Sophitia, Mitsurugi, Nightmare, Xianghua and Kilik, as well as a newcomer, Grøh. "Soulcalibur VI" is scheduled to release for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime this year
