More details have started to come to light regarding Marvel's untitled "Spider-Man: Homecoming" sequel. Hot on the heels of its alleged audition leaks, the film's working title has recently been revealed, and it is yet another reference to the hit sitcom "Seinfeld."

Omega Underground reports "Spider-Man 2" is in the works under the working title "Fall of George." To recap, "Homecoming" went into development under the name "Summer of George" -- named after a 1997 episode of "Seinfeld" where George Costanza (Jason Alexander) receives a severance package from the Yankees and uses it to have a memorable summer.

"Spider-Man" co-producer Eric Carroll confirmed previously that they have been taking up temporary names from the popular sitcom whose cast member was originally considered for a cameo.

"We pick code names that make us giggle," he said. "Around that time in L.A., there was the channel that showed the Seinfeld reruns from 10 to 11 pm, and we all started coming in the next day and talking about Seinfeld. And when we had to pick a code name for this, 'Summer of George' was one [suggestion] that made us all laugh the hardest. Our email addresses are Episode 1456.com, which is, that's the reason."

Another connection to the NBC show that ran from 1989 to 1998 is Marisa Tomei. The actress, who plays Peter Parker's (Tom Holland) aged-down Aunt May in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, notably starred as herself on "Seinfeld." She took a liking on George in an episode, but dumped him shortly after learning about his engagement to another woman.

The untitled "Spider-Man" sequel is currently the sixth Marvel film in line to debut. Not much is known about its plot, but there have been hints that it will introduce Gwen Stacy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel has yet to confirm its production date, but Omega says it will shoot in Atlanta Georgia with "Homecoming" director Jon Watts at the helm. The movie is scheduled for release on July 5, 2019.

The studio's other slates include "Black Panther," which will debut on Feb. 16, 2018, "Avengers: Infinity War" on May 4, 2018, "Ant-Man & The Wasp" on July 6, 2018, "Captain Marvel" on Mar 8, 2019, and "Avengers 4" on May 3, 2019.
