The cast list for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" grows with the addition of Hannibal Buress, who joined the film back in June. Very little was known about his role until recently as the actor has given more details during an interview with "The Breakfast Club" radio show (via Comic Book Movie).

According to the actor, he plays a gym teacher at Midtown High School and is one of the characters who is completely unaware that Peter Parker (Tom Holland), often depicted as a scrawny, nerdy kid with little to no friends, is actually Spider-Man.

"I play one of the dumbass characters that don't realize he's Spider-Man. He's Peter Parker. I'm just like... oh man, this guy's really athletic," he explained.

Screen Rant points out that it is possible Buress' role, although unnamed at the time being, may prove that a leaked cast call sheet may be real. This call sheet names the coach as Coach Wilson and it also hints that Buress is also being joined by Selenis Leyva, Kenneth Choi and Martin Starr, all of whom have been seen on the film's school set.

If this call sheet is also true then it may indicate that actor Bokeem Woodbine is indeed playing the villain Shocker or at least an early version of the character without his powers.

Cinema Blend points out that Buress' character is not alone as there are many people directly involved with Peter who are not aware he is Spider-Man, including his own Aunt May (Marisa Tomei). Mary Jane, rumored to be played by Zendaya, is also unaware until Peter reveals his identity much later on in their lives.

One of the few people who are aware of his identity include Tony Stark aka Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) who is rumored to be in the film but only in a cameo appearance.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will release in theaters on July 7, 2017.
