Spiderman will return in the Marvel cinematic universe, and the next wall crawler movie would reportedly call on a younger Peter Parker.

The reboot film has been in the rumor mill lately, but few confirmed details have been revealed about the collaboration movie between Sony and Marvel. Since most of the hardcore fans already know how the web crawler came to be, and moviegoers were already treated with the numerous foes Spiderman had in the first Sam Raimi movies and the two most recent 'Amazing Spiderman' flicks, it is speculated that that next reboot would take moviegoers into Peter Parker's high school roots.

According to Tech Times, one of the plots that would endear the friendly neighbourhood spider to most of the moviegoers is to take the storyline into the 'teen angst and discover yourself' phase, which would indicate that the next movie would take place on the high school rooms and Peter Parker's adolescent life. This plot is much closer to the truth, as there are reports that casting calls for a younger Peter Parker is in the works, with names such as Dylan O'Brien, Logan Lerman, and now, 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory''s Freddie Highmore reportedly being sought out to try on the role.

As to auditioning for the lead role, Highmore has been quoted by IGN as saying, "Obviously I would love to be considered. That would be fantastic. I guess we'll just see how things go."

He adds, "You always feel like you can identify with him. He's that kind of guy at school who wasn't perhaps in the really cool group, but who was extremely intelligent and managed to find confidence in being Spider-Man --- in this other side to his life."

The next movie about the web crawler's life is slated to be shown in 2017.
