Brief History of the Prayer Breakfast Fellowship :

Started in 1985 by Rev. N J Cornelius, the then General Secretary of the New Delhi YMCA in a small way, which was not very regular.

On the lines of National Prayer Breakfast which is held in Washington, once a year
(tentatively in February/March), which is called the Thanksgiving Service ?attended by the President of the USA and many other dignitaries including at least One member of each country.

Mr. John Churchill, having attended the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington in February 1986, discussed & planned a similar Prayer Breakfast, with Mr. Daniel Souri ?who was the prime inspirator behind the monthly YMCA Prayer Breakfast.

With this firm foundation, the fellowship continued with the leadership of Chairmen of the Christian Emphasis.

But from 2003, with the able leadership of Mr. Jag Mohan Chhabra, Chairman of The Christian Emphasis, the Prayer Breakfast Fellowship has been taken to newer heights with the purpose of Meditation, self-examination and worship. In addition to this, a new programme called 'An Evening of Prayers & Gospel Music' also has been started, which have been well attended in every meeting.
