In the most recent Splatfest, Fantasy took home the victory. Nintendo announced the upcoming Splatfest via Twitter. Nintendo UK wrote, EU #Splatfest ink-coming! Are you a film fanatic or a book stuff? Pick a side in-game and battle it out next Saturday @15:00 UK time."

The anticipated Splatfest will only be available for players based in the United Kingdom. Nintendo is urging participants to wear a T-shirt that either supports Film or Book. ComicBook publication is of course rooting for the Book Worms as they made a report about the Splatfest.

Nintendo will be giving out free goodies as rewards to the winning team and the losing team will also receive a participation award. The Film versus Book Splatfest will be the last one in 2017. There are still no news about another Splatfest coming in 2018.

Players can also make use of the new weapon, The Glooga Dualies, in the upcoming Splatfest.

"Splatoon 2" kicked off the month of December with a new weapon for the Ammo Knights. The gun weapon Glooga Dualies was released on Dec. 1. Glooga Dualies are dual handguns that can increase their attack rate after the player performed a dodge-roll. The sub-weapon of the Glooga Dualies is the Ink Mine utilized to track enemy movement. The special attack of the weapon is called the Inkjet.

Nintendo also released new updates for "Splatoon 2" during the last week of November. New gears, stage, hairstyle, higher level caps, and even a new amiibo functionality were introduced.

"Splatoon 2" is exclusive for the Nintendo Switch. The shooter video game received an impressive score of 8.3 out of 10 from IGN.
