Spring Harvest 2004 in UK

Spring Harvest 2004 event will close in Minehead, South England and in Skegness, Scotland 18 April where guests have been gathering to join the 'Grace Academy'. 60,000 Christians of all ages and from a wide range of church backgrounds joined.

Originally launched in 1979 as a one-week event in Prestatyn, but now it has become much more than just an annual event----albeit the largest Christian conference in Europe.

Spring Harvest is an inter-denominational Christian organisation seeking to 'equip the Church for action', through a range of events, conferences, courses and resources, they are specialising in resourcing Christians to impact the local communities and the wider world.

The theme for the distinctive programme at Spring Harvest 2004 is "Grace Academy", the youths are able to explore and learn how to become more like Jesus.

Their slogan is "Distinctive love, Distinctive words, Distinctive grace, Distinctive life, Distinctive worship."

As a Christian it can be hard to be distinctive when it seems that everyone is doing the same thing - except you. But we want to be more like Jesus, have a love like His, speak words of truth and goodness, have grace for friends and strangers, live a life of obedience and worship with a heart of devotion. Jesus was all of these things and more because He was God's son and although we can never be perfect like Jesus, we can be Distinctive as we try to be more like Him.

During the conference, there is teaching, worship and fun, but the Christian faith is about more than that. It's more than just words and experience, it's about action.

The participants get the opportunity to learn more about a specific situation from around the world, pray for the issues and individuals.
