Those who are planning to own an iPad from here on may want to look into the "iPad for Life" plan from Sprint, which is probably better than any Black Friday deal available for the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3.

There is no need to lavishly spend hundreds of dollars in buying the new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 as Sprint now offers the "iPad for Life" plan that will get one a 16 GB iPad Air 2 for $20 a month or an iPad mini 3 for $17 per month, for a duration of 24 months under a contract.

The 64 GB and 128 GB models of the iPad Air 2 costs $24 and $28 per month, respectively. Meanwhile, the 64 GB and 128 GB models of the iPad mini 3 costs $21 and $25 per month for two years.

The "iPad for Life" plan is the same as other financing plans offered by carriers, which requires a data plan on Sprint's network. Thus, subscribers can include the iPad Air 2 in the shared data plan or sign up for a separate plan starting at $10 per month for 100 MB.

To individuals who want to take home either of the two tablets, now is the best time to get it.  For those who will sign up for the plan until Jan. 15, Sprint is waving the monthly access fee of $10 on top of the monthly subscription until the end of 2015.  However, this means that the fee will go up after the end of 2015. Still, this offers great savings for those who sign up now.

Meanwhile, subscribers can choose from one of the following options after their two-year contract is up:

  1. Keep the iPad to either continue or terminate the service by paying the remaining balance.
  2. End the service by returning the iPad in good, working condition.
  3. Trade the device for the latest model and renew the contract.
  4. Subscribers can also cut the subscription short by paying the remaining balance and monthly installments or trading the tablet to get a new one.
