Another U.S. carrier joined the bandwagon in rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the LG G3. This time, Sprint is rolling out the latest Android OS over-the-air. 

The LG G3 in other regions have already received Android 5.0. It was released in South Korea late last year and made its way to Europe early this year. It is no surprise that the update has reached U.S. shores. However, U.S. carriers experienced a slight delay in seeding the Lollipop OS. Nevertheless, the new mobile software has now made its way to the LG G3, thanks to AT&T and Sprint. Other major U.S. networks such as Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile have yet to announce their timeline for the release of the upgrade for their respective LG G3s. 

Meanwhile, Sprint also released a changelog detailing the new features and improvements included in the firmware. Being the biggest Android software update so far, Lollipop comes with a long list of added features, including a user interface dubbed as Material Design that significantly alters the look of the latest Android. Aside from the visual appearance of the OS, Google also improves the smartphone's camera shortcuts, lock screen notifications, and security. The operating system also includes the Recents menu, and the new Interruptions mode. 

While AT&T and Sprint subscribers should rejoice being among the first to get the most recent Android software, some users already spotted bugs and issues that have remained unfixed by Google and LG Electronics. Some users claim that the smartphone suffers battery drain as well as performance and apps issues. Moreover, some say that refreshing the smartphone with the new software affects the notification of the handset and some see only two notifications at a time. 

Since its official release in November, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS was stoned by users as the firmware is plagued with bugs and issues. Google has not released a more stable and bug-free update yet.
