Three months before "Star Trek Beyond" soars to the silver screen, fans get a better a look at newcomer Jaylah, a cool-looking new alien who will be hanging out with Bones and Spock in the upcoming film.

Played by "Kingsman" star Sofia Boutella, Jaylah is seen pictured along with her squad as they make an effort to hide from the view of something unseen. Jaylah is seen wielding a killer weapon, which media outlets imagine will be menacing.

Much about Jaylah is being kept under wraps at the moment, but what can be gathered from everything released about her, she will be an asset to Spock's team in their effort to take down Idris Elba's Krall in "Star Trek Beyond."

While Jaylah is shrouded in mystery at the moment, it's a known fact that the character's essayer Boutella, has her battle chops in place as seen in her performance in "Kingsman: Secret Service," where she had blades for legs.

According to Simon Pegg, who wrote and starred in "Star Trek Beyond," the film is set two years after the Enterprise's five-year deep space exploration mission, where the crew hopes to take a break.

Pegg revealed to Empire that "they've come to rest at a Federation outpost, a sort of diplomatic hub," only for Krall to crash the party. He's definitely a force to be reckoned with, according to Elba, who described his character as "predatory."

As a whole, Pegg said that "Star Trek Beyond" is mainly about the formation of "a great community within the galaxy" and the journey to figure out what this gathering means and where it leads.

"This is the 50th anniversary. I felt like it was important to really deconstruct the idea of Star Trek, the idea of the Federation and why it's special. We'll really be poking at a lot of different things," director Justin Lin then teased.

"Star Trek Beyond" releases on July 22.
