Electronic Arts announced that they have opened the applications for the closed alpha test for "Star Wars: Battlefront" on PC by sending invites through emails.

A Reddit user shared the email that was sent by the game developer on his account, where the system requirements for the closed alpha test are also mentioned.

The email reads:

"Apply for your chance to join the Closed Alpha and help us prepare for the release of Star Wars Battlefront on 20th November, 2015. Available for Origin on PC only, the purpose of the Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha is to perform a number of technical tests that will help the team at DICE as they continue the development of the game."

The minimum system requirement to apply for the "Star Wars: Battlefront" Closed Alpha on PC includes:

  • Processor - Quad Core CPU such as Intel Core i5-2300 @ 2.8 GHz or AMD Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.2 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz.
  • RAM – 6 GB
  • Operating System – Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1 (64-bit operating system required)
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 with 2 GB of Video Memory.

However, community manager Mathew Everett immediately cleared that the requirements mentioned are only for the alpha test version and not the final version of the game.

"I wanted to make this fairly clear for anyone who is wondering about the min spec for Star Wars Battlefront. The Alpha min spec requirements are for the Alpha only. These are not final and should not be taken as final. Now if you did get an Alpha invite and want to participate. You will need a system that meets the minimum requirements," Everett said.

The registration will be closed on Tuesday, the closed alpha testing will begin on Thursday, July 2.

"Star Wars: Battlefront" will be officially launched on Nov. 17, and it will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
