Beta testing for "Star Wars Battlefront II" has been extended for an extra two days by game publisher Electronic Arts (EA).

The game was originally scheduled to end its beta testing on Oct. 9. The beta testing began on Oct. 4 for those who pre-ordered the game and on Oct. 6 for everyone else.

EA extended the beta until Oct. 11 without explanation, but it is a perfect opportunity for those who have not yet tried out the game or for those who cannot get enough of "Star Wars Battlefront II."

Gamers can test the four game modes available: Galactic Assault, Starfighter Assault, Strike and Arcade.

Galactic Assault pits two teams of 20 in a battle between Clone troopers and Separatist droids. The mode is a large-scale battle that takes place in the Naboo: Theed map, at least for the beta version of the game.

Starfighter Assault mode is a 24-player space battle where gamers can choose between three new starfighter classes and pilot Hero Ships from all three trilogies: the prequel, original and new "Star Wars."

The Strike mode features class-based gameplay that makes users work together and complete objectives with each other's help. This mode takes place in Takodana in the beta.

Arcade mode, on the other hand, is a one to two player mode with offline and even split-screen support.

Given the number of playable modes in the beta, fans can expect to wait for challenging download times. EA has also listed system requirements for the beta to ensure the best gameplay experience including a minimum Intel Core i5 processor and 25 GB of hard drive space, among other requirements.

"Star Wars Battlefront II" will be officially released on Nov. 17. The standard version of the game retails for $69.90, while the deluxe version will sell for $109.90.

Gamers can catch the free beta version for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC until Oct. 11.
