Good news for fans of EA Dice's "Star Wars Battlefront" as the sequel has been confirmed for 2017 and promises to be a "bigger and better" game compared to the first title. It can be recalled that fans of "Star Wars Battlefront" have been waiting since the first game was released in 2015 for a follow up.

According to a report by GameSpot, the sequel will be incorporating elements from the older and more recent "Star Wars" movies, which should count as good news for hard core fans of the franchise.

Based on reports, the sequel is likely to develop a single-player mode for the hit shooter game. While there are no details released about the plot yet, it is expected that it wouldn't stray too far from the events in the "Star Wars" franchise.

Among the features included in the wishlist of fans for the sequel is an improvement in the single player campaign to be more in line with the feel of the franchise, reported Trusted Reviews. Gamers also want a fully customizable arsenal to get rid of the uniform feel of both the weapons of the protagonists and the villains.

Fans also want the inclusion of skill shots for long range sniping while hurtling through the air. Having a wider ranged space combat could also be useful for fans who got a taste of the feature but felt it wasn't enough.

Of course, fans will definitely be happy if the sequel includes free content updates.

Meanwhile, a report by Polygon hinted that there will be other "Star Wars" games released by EA Dice for other consoles like the "Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission" which is being developed for Playstation VR. The game could be connected to the standalone "Star Wars: Rogue One" film which will be released later in the year.

Other studios developing "Star Wars" games are Visceral Games and Respawn Entertainment, both of which are targeting releases for 2018.
