To prep "Star Wars Battlefront" for the arrival of the "Rogue One: Scarif" expansion and the Virtual Reality (VR) mission, EA DICE will first release a patch.

When asked by a Twitter user about the timing of the update's rollout and who will be in charge, EA DICE associate design director Dennis Brännvall had this to say: "Team is in a good place, set to deliver a movie tie-in DLC and our first ever VR experience. Patch will come with that."

Whether or not a patch will be released before the highly-anticipated "Star Wars Battlefront" downloadable content (DLC) remains to be seen. It will not be good news for gamers if they will have to wait until next month, especially with the game marred with glitches and gameplay issues.

According to iDigital Times, there are ongoing hitches involving Heroes vs. Villains, and EA DICE has yet to do something about cheaters and the exploits in "Star Wars Battlefront" they use to take advantage of.

As for the "Rogue One: Scarif" DLC itself, not much is known about it yet, which is understandable since it might contain elements from the movie, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" that should be kept secret for now.

What is known for now is that it will be set on the tropical planet of Scarif, a place in the galaxy far, far away that is nothing like the worlds shown in the "Star Wars" films.

Rebel Jyn Erso and the imperial Director Krennic are the characters featured in this "Star Wars Battlefront" DLC. There will be all new weapons, a game mode and Star Cards to expect as well.

As for the "Rogue One" VR mission, it will give gamers the chance to experience the feeling of piloting the X-Wing. It will be released in the PlayStation VR in December as well.
