The rollout of the "Star Wars Battlefront" February update has commenced and it brings a lot of new goodies in the form of new locations to explore and other much-needed features and tweaks for better gameplay experience.

The new map integrated in the February update is called Twilight on Hoth. Players who got to try it out already are singing the new map's praises, which is available in the Walker Assault, Supremacy, Turning Point, Blast, Fighter Squadron, Drop Zone, and Heroes vs. Villains.

Twilight of Hoth is expected to be much more challenging that the current Hoth map "Star Wars Battlefront" has. That means that the icy conditions will be much harsher and far more difficult to overcome.

Thanks to the "Star Wars Battlefront" February update, a new mission called the Survival in the Ice Caves was added to Survival Missions. The Turning Point mode can now be accessed from Jundland Wastes, Forest of Endor, Outpost Beta, and SoroSuub Centroplex maps.

One of the biggest things about the update is that the Battle of Jakku DLC is now being patched into the game, which is why "Star Wars Battlefont" players don't need to download it separately anymore. This is also the reason the update comes in bulkier at 4.4GB.

Those who already downloaded the expansion pack prior to the February update can now simply delete the DLC file in order to save some space. The DLC, for those who don't know, is based on the events after the Battle of Endor.

Aside from these stellar additions, DICE also did some fine-tuning on "Star Wars Battlefront," which improved the weapons, vehicles, star cards, the heroes, the missions and multiplayer game modes. Of course, there were bug fixes as well.

All these tweaks better prepare "Star Wars Battlefront" for the release of the new Outer Rim DLC out in March.
