Gamers will finally see "Star Wars: Battlefront" in action. Game companies Electronic Arts and Dice recently revealed via the game's official blog that the much-awaited shooter will be showcased during the highly-anticipated Electronic Entertainment Expo next month.

"I really look forward to showing you all more from the game as we get closer to release, and for you guys who are asking me when you can see gameplay, I can tell you that we have great plans for E3," design director Niklas Fegraeus said.

Fegraeus went on to say that the team is "super excited" to give fans a taste of the ever-demanded "Star Wars: Battlefront" gameplay, which will be shown off on June 15 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, where tons of goodies from the gaming world will collide.

The gameplay was already presented during last month's Star Wars Celebration but it was done behind closed doors. What fans do have is a CGI trailer, which, although gameplay is absent, still looks exciting to see and play.

Also, apart from the E3 gameplay showcase, the design director announced that "Star Wars: Battlefront" will feature a new mode called Squadron Fighter, which will let players "engage in huge Starfighter battles over canyons big enough to be truly epic." Fegraeus also revealed other missions gamers can play with friends.

"Then, for those not in the mood for large scale battles, we have created Missions where players can, for example, take on armies of AI or test their piloting skills," he revealed. "All our Missions can be played either alone or cooperatively, making them perfect for some quick Star Wars action when you have a friend over."

"Star Wars: Battlefront" will be released on Nov. 20 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
