The action shooter video game "Star Wars Battlefront II" is going to be released in less than a month, and fans of the game series and the Star Wars franchise in general are eagerly waiting for it. The game will introduce a new and original single player campaign, and the game's developer has revealed how long it would take to finish.

According David Robillard, producer at Motive Studios, the single player mode will take about five to seven hours for a player to complete.

"We thought that around five to seven, maybe eight hours is probably a good amount of time," said Robillard. "We wanted to stay very driven towards the Star Wars fantasy that the players are going to experience and not have it be drawn out."

This duration may not sound very long for a role-playing game campaign, but if the game delivers a compelling and immersive experience, the length does not matter that much.

The campaign was the most requested element that fans wanted to see after the release of the multiplayer-only "Star Wars Battlefront" in 2015. While the multiplayer mode provided an exciting gameplay that had fans battling their way through the futuristic Star Wars universe, many thought a single player campaign would be a great addition to the game.

Thanks to this, Electronic Arts worked together with Motive Studios to craft a campaign for the game. In this mode, the player takes the role of an Imperial Soldier named Iden Versio.

The story is unique because, contrary to other stories from the Star Wars universe, it tells a tale from the point of view of an Empire soldier. Of course, "Star Wars Battlefront II" did not neglect the multiplayer mode, as this is still one of the main draws for many of fans of the game series.

"Star Wars Battlefront II" will be released on Nov. 17 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
