More than 12 million copies of "Star Wars Battlefront" have reportedly been sold to fans all over the world.

In speaking to Fortune, Michael Pachter of Wedbush Securities said that more than 12 million copies of the game have already been sold. Pachter said that around six million copies of the game were sold back in November, with an additional six million more being moved in December.

In all, Pachter estimates that "Star Wars Battlefront" has already generated around $660 million in revenue.

Another analyst, Evan Wilson of Pacific Crest Securities, offers a slightly different number than the one Pachter brought up. According to Wilson, he estimates that over 13 million copies of "Star Wars Battlefront" have been sold. Wilson also indicated that a good amount of those sales were made at discounted prices, so that may have an impact on the bottom line.

Still, hovering between 12 and 13 million copies sold since November should bring smiles to the faces of the people behind "Star Wars Battlefront."

It's also worth noting that "Star Wars Battlefront" has reportedly amassed these impressive sales numbers despite the fact that the game was released to mixed reviews.

It's also unclear just how much the game may have benefited from the recent release of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

The movie has also been a well-documented success to this point, as it has smashed numerous box office records since it was first released, although it's unclear if it has had a tangible impact on the performance of "Star Wars Battlefront."

Whether or not the movie has impacted the game, the latter's developers don't seem to be interested on capitalizing any further on the success of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

As Game Rant reported, the game's developers currently have no plans to offer any new content based on the recently released movie.

Even without any new movie-based content, "Star Wars Battlefront" will still be getting downloadable content (DLC) later on in the year, and that may end up boosting the game's already impressive financial figures.
