The "Star Wars Battlefront" Outer Rim DLC will be released on April 5 at 10 p.m. ET, and the expansion pack is already available for pre-order on game retailer Gamestop.

"Star Wars Battlefront" players can purchase the Outer Rim DLC for only $14.99. The new content is part of the $50 season pass for the title, which means that gamers who bought it won't have to worry about getting access to it.

The "Star Wars Battlefront" Outer Rim DLC comes with four new maps. The DLC will take players to the factories and industrial pipes of planet Sullust as well as the planet of Tatooine, where gamers will battle with enemies in Jabba the Hutt's palace.

That being said, "Star Wars Battlefront" players will get two "heroes" from the respective realms – a rebel from Sullust known as Nien Nunb, and the Rodian bounty hunter Greedo.

The Outer Rim DLC also introduces a brand new mode called Extraction, where players are tasked to haul out a valuable shipment of resources back to their transport ship. There, Star Wars Battlefront" players will have to run against the clock and also the untiring Empire, who arrives to thwart the players' plans and take the shipment for themselves.

The DLC comes with a set of new weapons fit for the battles that players will face in the new locations and missions. The weapons are the Relby V-10 rifle and DT-12 blaster pistol. There are also Scatter Gun, Dioxis Grenade, and Adrenaline Stim Star Cards to collect.

Before releasing the "Star Wars Battlefront" Outer Rim DLC, EA DICE has released free content for players, including a Battle of Jakku map and new garbs for Han Solo and Luke Skywalker.
