Fans will be happy to know that "Star Wars: Battlefront" will have a dozen multiplayer maps. EA spilled the beans in a recent post on their official blog, emphasizing that the ones on the first and third-person shooter's co-op "Missions" mode are not included.

The number will only increase from there as expansion packs for the game are touted to add more multiplayer maps as well. For now, EA revealed three of those locations. The first two are Endor and Hoth, which are familiar territory. The third one is called Sullust.

This will be the first time players will see the place, which was only mentioned by Darth Vader in "Return of the Jedi." Dice, led by concept artist Anton Grandert, carried out their own take on the planet, which Lucasfilm and EA approved.

"The overall look and feel for Sullust is very much Imperial and under construction, playing in locations within the planet such as a lava theme, sulfur theme, Death Star-inspired theme and lastly a mine theme," EA described the place in the blog.

Iceland was used as the reference landscape for Sullust "to shift and bend to the design detailed in [Dice's] concepts." Combining all these elements, players can expect to trudge into "black sharp rocks, huge land shifts, red lava, turquoise lakes and white smoke."

Sullust, which was no more than an allusion in the whole of "Star Wars" fiction, is now one of the many destinations for gamers. The lava-filled expanse is one step closer to making the shooter the preeminent game this year.

There are huge expectations on "Star Wars: Battlefront" and it looks like EA and Dice will have no problem in meeting all those. The much-awaited shooter will make a splash onto the PS4, Xbox One and PC on Nov. 17.
