There is understandably a lot of excitement for the latest installment in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy — "Star Wars: Episode 8" — following the success of last year's release, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." The movie, however, is still a long way off from being released, but based on numerous leaks and reports, fans now have a vague idea of what will be happening in the first few scenes of the movie.

According to several leaks, a lot has apparently already been revealed about the first few scenes of the movie. The movie's writer and director — Rian Johnson — had previously mentioned that the movie itself was going to be starting where the last movie left off. He even mentions that he doesn't want to "skip ahead" after the last moments of the movie and that he want to "see what happens next."

Another report from a "Star Wars" fan site also claims that there will be a scene in the new movie where Finn — played by John Boyega — will be placed inside a "Bacta Suit" to recover from his injuries following his lightsaber fight with Kylo Ren, played by Adam Driver.

Those who are familiar with the franchise will remember that Luke himself was placed inside a similar bacta tank in "The Empire Strikes Back" after having sustained injuries during a fight with a Hoth monster. The report also mentions that Finn will apparently be sent on a new mission for the Resistance once he has fully recovered.

The first few scenes of the new movie will also apparently showcase a grand funeral for Han Solo, played by Harrison Ford. The bit of information was accidentally mentioned by Carry Fischer — who plays General Leia Organa in the film — during the recently held Star Wars Celebration in Europe back in July.

"Star Wars: Episode 8" — which has yet to receive an official title — is scheduled to hit theaters on December 15, 2017.
