Finn (John Boyega) was last seen in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" unconscious and in a critical condition following his battle with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). Fans won't need to wait long to see him back in action as a new rumor indicates that he will be significantly healed and be up for another mission in "Star Wars Episode VIII."

According to Making Star Wars, Finn will be placed in a bacta suit to heal his injuries. When he has recuperated the medical staff of the Resistance will cut him out and the film will reveal that he has been fully healed, further implying that the bacta suit is capable of mending even the most grievous of injuries.

It is also noted that this is not the first time a bacta suit has been used in the series. Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) suffered an injury in the beginning of "Empire Strikes Back" and was later placed in a bacta tank. After a few hours, the gelatinous substance fully restored his health back.

Cinema Blend points out that the substance is known in the "Star Wars" universe to restore damaged tissue. This might be why Finn won't be in a coma or out of combat for very long, and with just a few hours under recovery, he will be able to hop back into battle against the First Order.

The report also points out that once Finn is back on his feet he will jump into a mission the first chance he gets, and this mission will raise his reputation, making him a big hero in the Resistance. Fans will recall that Finn started out as a Storm Trooper for the First Order and not a Resistance member, so this will be a big step for him.

It is important to note that the site Making Star Wars does not cite their sources, and the information may or may not be true until Disney or Lucasfilm confirms the details.

"Star Wars Episode VIII" is scheduled to premiere on Dec. 15, 2017.
