Five months before the premiere of "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens," more news and rumors about the much-anticipated film have been reported online. This is despite director J. J. Abrams' efforts in keeping everything under wraps.

Recently, Star Wars 7 News released a photo of Ken Leung's character in the film, wherein the 45-year old "Night Shift" actor is seen in uniform. The site reports that the photo is a screenshot from the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" behind-the-scenes video released at the San Diego Comic-Con.

In the shot, Leung appears to be in a war room and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) is seen standing next to him. C-3PO can also be seen in the background. The website speculates that Leung's character is of a high military rank because of his uniform, which is brown with a reddish belt and has a rank insignia similar to an X. Because the rank insignia reportedly resembles the old one used in the previous installments, it is possible that the "Lost'" actor is playing a general in the movie.

Mexican site Sinembargo released an interview with Leung on April 7 wherein the actor confirmed that he is part of the cast of "The Force Awakens." In the interview which was translated via Google, Leung said that it is more than an honor to be part of the film.

"It is like an amusement park for adults, as it is very magical," he said.

The actor said that he cannot say anything more other than he'll be in the film because "everything is so secret". He revealed that he was just given his script and that he could not leave his dressing room because there were paparazzi on planes trying to take pictures of the cast during filming.

Being in the film is also very meaningful for Leung as he said that his late brother was a huge "Star Wars" fan.

"When [I] got a call that they wanted me to [be in] Star Wars I thought it was my brother who was answering my request he had made, because I think a lot about it and this is something very special," Leung said.

"Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" premieres on Dec. 18.
