'Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens' trailer to release on Thanksgiving Day?

After Disney Studios postponed the release of the "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens" trailer that was supposed to appear ahead of the showing of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1," reports now claim that the trailer will debut in selected theaters during Thanksgiving weekend.

Slash Film cited unnamed "good sources" that the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" teaser trailer will be shown in a limited number of movie houses this upcoming holiday weekend.  This is supported by a poster on Reddit who stated that the 90-second clip will be shown in 100 theaters all over the U.S. on the weekend following the Thanksgiving celebration.

However, initial reports said that the trailer will be one minute long, which is contradictory to the 90-second teaser claimed by the post in Reddit. With these inconsistencies, this rumor should be taken with a grain of salt.

Meanwhile, spoilers revealed that Luke Skywalker will be the villain in the latest "Star Wars" film, although it is still unknown why this should be the case. Moreover, Han Solo and Princess Leia's daughter will be the main protagonist of the film who will go on a journey with the child of Lando and a Stormtrooper. Princess Leia has been made the leader of the Republic, which is now referred to as the Galactic Republic, after her predecessor died, while Han Solo is retired from the Republic fleet. The Jedis have become legends with Luke being the sole survivor.

"Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens" stars Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, and Kenny Baker as R2-D2.

Other members of the cast are: Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o, Christina Chong, John Boyega, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Dixie Arnold, Daisy Ridley, Pip Andersen, Roman Bloodworth, and Crystal Clarke.

"Star Wars Episode VII" will premiere on Dec. 18, 2015.
