Darth Vader's evil presence will be strongly felt in the latest season of Disney's "Star Wars Rebels." The special premiere episode of season 2, aired in Disney XD on June 20, showed how ruthless and exceptionally skilled the Sith Lord is in any combat situation. 

The premiere episode of the second season began with two of the most iconic characters in the franchise. The episode showed Ahsoka Tano in her full grown form. Ahsoka is still reeling over the loss of the Phoenix Squadron rebel command that she used to supervise. But her biggest despair comes from the fact that her squad was killed by Darth Vader, who she discovered in the season 1 finale is her former master Anakin Skywalker. 

Darth Vader's most vicious phase was also seen in the premiere episode of "Star Wars Rebels" season 2. Here, fans were reminded of the Sith Lord's coldest, most evil persona. 

One of the most epic scenes in the premiere episode is the battle between Vader and the Rebels. Viewers witnessed the Sith Lord's skill when he single-handedly battled Kanan, Ezra, Sabine, Hera, and Zeb with just one lightsaber. He also displayed his unequalled pilot skills when he faced an entire rebel fleet on his own. 

But probably the most chilling scene during the past episode was when Vader said, "The apprentice lives," when Ahsoka and Kanan faced him. 

Will the Rebels' association with Ahsoka become a deeper reason for Vader to track them down as fast as he can? Or will Ahsoka decide to go after her former mentor this season after he ruthlessly destroyed her troop? Also, fans of the animated series are looking forward to seeing how the Rebels will progress this season.

But fans need to wait until this fall when "Star Wars: Rebels" returns with the rest of the episodes for season 2 to find out what happens next to the Rebels, Ahsoka, and Darth Vader.
