"Star Wars Rebels" has returned and there is now the lingering possibility that Ahsoka Tano may meet her end. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Dave Filoni explained that there will be a few key scenes involving Tano.

"I like a lightsaber fight like anybody, or a big action sequence like we've done in the past," Filoni explained, "but I always find that those have little meaning if you don't have the emotions going into it to support it -- you don't have the tension and the stakes. There's some really powerful scenes coming up for fans involving Ahsoka."

Fans of the films will also recall that by the time "Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi" happened, Jedi Master Yoda revealed that Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) would be the last Jedi in existence. While it is also possible that Yoda is unaware of Jedi warriors living in seclusion, this may indicate that by the timeline of the films, Ahsoka Tano has died.

The first half of "Star Wars Rebels" season 2 revealed that Ahsoka still remembers her ties to her former master, Anakin Skywalker. The trailer for season 2B revealed Ahsoka unveiling the truth, showing Ezra a hologram video of Anakin during his prime, before he transformed into Darth Vader.

Scenes from the trailer also showcase Ahsoka Tano fighting several figures and it is widely speculated that before season 2 is over she will be killed by none other than Darth Vader himself.

Filoni also revealed that Ahsoka Tano's story won't be the only main focus of season 2B. The executive producer also stated that there will be a few other scenes focusing on the return of a Hera's father, a few Mandolorians that will set up future Mandolorian storylines and that Zeb is not the very last of his species, the Lasat.
