Season 4 of "Star Wars Rebels" premiered its opening episode at the "Star Wars" Celebration in Orlando, Florida. Meanwhile, there will be more "Star Wars" animation projects to look forward to even after "Star Wars Rebels" ends with season 4.

The four-day "Star Wars" Celebration event took place in Orlando, Florida, and part of that fun was the premiere of the first episode of "Star Wars Rebels" season 4, Gizmodo reports.

The episode titled "Heroes of Mandalore Part 1" featured Sabine, Clan Wren, Ezra, and Kanan in a mission to free Sabine's father from his imprisonment in Mandalore.

Sabine was able to break her father out of prison. However, the episode revealed something terrible for Sabine. Saxon had killed almost everyone in battle, including Sabine's mother and brother, using a weapon that she made herself.

The episode ended with Sabine mourning over the ashes of her mother and brother, which mirrors the part in "A New Hope" where Luke Skywalker went to find his aunt and uncle.

Despite many questions unanswered and a big cliffhanger, fans of the show will have to wait for the season 4 premiere to get the continuation of the story. Aside from this, a new expanded universe character is also anticipated to be introduced in "Star Wars Rebels" season 4, which is Rukh from Timothy Zahn's "Heir to the Empire."

Meanwhile, "Star Wars Rebels" may be ending with season 4, but there will be more animated materials that will come out beyond the title.

Series creator Dave Filoni shared at the "Star Wars" Celebration that there will be more animated projects after "Star Wars Rebels," The Verge confirmed. Although Filoni refused to spill information, "Forces of Destiny" was already confirmed to premiere this fall.

"Star Wars Rebels" season 4 will premiere later this year.
